Busuioacă is a rare grape variety found in the Bohotin Region of Eastern Romania. Its name is directly connected to the scented notes of basil (referred to as “busuioc” in Romanian) and its place of origin, the Bohotin hollow in the southeastern part of the Moldavian Plateau. It is a rose grape variety with pink skin color.
The Busuioacă grapes used here have found the best soil and climate conditions to express themselves gustatively and aromatically in a unique manner – often imitated, but never equaled. This is the first white wine obtained from a rose grape variety. This is also the first vintage of this wine and the first time a white Busuioacă has been perfected in Romania.

| Vinification | The freshly picked grapes were covered with dry ice to lower their temperature and then left for 12 hours in the cold (0-1⁰C). The grapes were pressed whole for a very short time. |
