This complex and powerful red wine is crafted from an indigenous grape variety of Puglia that has been rediscovered in recent years. The grape gets its name from the Apulian dialect word “somarello”, meaning ‘little donkey’.
The wine presents a deep ruby red color with distinctive violet hues. Aromas of small red fruits, including raspberry and blackberry, emerge from the glass. On the palate, rich notes of plum and blackcurrant unfold, supported by elegant, smooth tannins. The finish is beautifully balanced and pleasantly lingering.
