Nizza Monferrato was originally a subzone of Barbera d’Asti. It was given its own appellation in 2014. Beginning with the 2016 vintage, the DOCG appears on the label.
A gold medalist of Concous International de Lyon, the Santè is full-bodied, velvety, and complex. The fruitiness is delicate with hints of blackcurrant and red cherry. The tannins are modest, and the acidity in the finish is intense.
