San Martino della Battaglia is one of the smallest DOC productions. The Formentini family, which owns the estate winery, was instrumental in saving and reviving the appellation. Through Campo del Soglio, the appellation is slowly but surely returning to national and international attention. Its 2022 and 2023 vintages were awarded Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso.
The indigenous Tuchì grapes are small, delicate, and require full attention. They produce an elegant and slightly aromatic white wine that perfectly complements the PNW recipes.
