Busuioacă is a rare grape variety found in the Bohotin Region of Eastern Romania. Its name is directly connected to the scented notes of basil (referred to as "busuioc" in Romanian) and its place of origin, the Bohotin hollow in the southeastern part of the Moldavian Plateau. The grape is a rose grape variety with pink skin color. This is the first white wine obtained from a rose grape variety. This is also the first vintage of this wine. Grapes harvesting was done by hand, from carefully selected plots, in the early hours of the morning to benefit from a low temperature. To obtain Busuioacea vinified in white, the whole vinification process was carried out at low temperatures. The freshly picked grapes were covered with dry ice to lower their temperature and then left for 12 hours in the cold (0 -1⁰C).
